Some set backs….
Shortly after we received the good news about Tirasol 1, we received some negative information as well:
Muntanyes de Burgans 1 is back on the agenda of the Ponencia…. Apparently the project developer has appealed….
Tirasol 1 also immediately came back on the agenda because of a “correction of an error in the evaluation”
Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
Also, the wind turbines park Ampliació Colladetes (El Perelló) has been approved… We have sent in an appeal.

Together with Macro Renovables No and Xarxa Catalana per una Transició Energètica Justa, we drew up a text as a response to a proposal (from the MITECO) to make some amendments to the current Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC). You can read it here (ENG) or here (CAT).
First of all some great news:
The Ponencia (committee which evaluates the projects) has denied wind turbine park Muntanyes de Burgans 1 as well as solar panel park Tirasol 1, on environmental grounds!
During this period of time we still had to dedicate our time to writing allegations and responding to the project developers of the macro projects. Each project application contains many annexes with thousands and thousands of pages… so really a lot of work. We have sent allegations for wind turbine parks Tivissa II and III. So far no other project applications have been sent in, so that part of the job (for now) is finished….
On the 30th of June we held our first General Assembly, in El Perelló. It was great to meet some of the members, we shared with them the information we have so far, and afterwards we had a couple of drinks.
Allegations is still the most important job we’re currently doing:
Besides Amepersol 1 and Greentarraco 1 (both solar panel parks), we now also have to do two parc eòlic applications: Serre de Creu 5 (around km 11, on Rasquera side) and Tivissa IV (the first of 3…).
But also some good news!!! Muntanyes de Burgans 2 has been refused definitely!
The president of Catalunya, Pere Aragonès, visited El Perelló on the 17th of February to inaugurate the new wind turbines of La Collada in El Perelló. We were there as well to show our disapproval. We also had the opportunity to hand a letter to the president, signed by all the platforms and associations (read it here).
Furthermore:
Salvem Lo Burgar is now part of the Xarxa Catalana per una Transició Energètica. Among other things, this network works on promoting another way of implementing the energy transition: transparent, proximity, involving citizens, and using already “humanized areas” (highways, industrial areas, roof tops etc). The environmental part of the wind turbine project Muntanyes de Burgans 2 has been disapproved! Our work pays off…
We have sent in our allegacions for the solar panel parks Tirasol 1 (Tivissa, close to km 10,5) and Greentarraco 2 (also Tivissa).
Unfortunately more applications for solar panel parks came in: Ampersol 1 (El Perelló) and Greentarraco 1 (Tivissa, Ginestar, Rasquera).

We have sent in our objections regarding the solar panel park Amepersol 2, near km 14 in Rasquera area.
We also received several new project applications:
We have sent in our objections regarding the wind turbines project Muntanyes de Burgans 1, near km 10,5 in Tivissa area.
Corporations have sent in applications for:
1) Muntanyes de Burgans 1, a wind turbine park in the mountains of Tivissa overlooking the Burgar, close to Muntanyes de Burgans 2. It is also very close to the 3 public plots rented out by the town hall of Tivissa to a corporation to install wind turbines as well.
2) Amepersol 2, a solar park in the Rasquera area, at km 14 of the TV3022.
3) Works have started to prepare the installation of Amepersol 1, a solar park at km 6-7, also in El Perelló area.
Unfortunately our hard work and actions didn’t pay off – works started at the Collada Eolic Park in El Perelló for the construction of 2 wind turbines.
1) We have sent last minute objections regarding the Collada Eolic Park in El Perelló for the construction of wind turbines.
2) We contributed, at the request and on behalf of the Plataforma Tivissa Sud, to the Climate Action Committee at the Parliament of Catalonia. We spoke about our views on macro projects of wind turbines and solar panels.
We have sent objections regarding the project application for Muntanyes de Burgans 2, a wind turbine park in the mountains of Tivissa overlooking the Burgar at km 10,5 of the TV3022.
The town hall of Tivissa announces that 3 plots of public land have been dedicated for the installation of wind turbines. Agreements have been made with a corporation.
In response to the shooting of 3 protected adult eagles in the Rasquera area in the Burgar, we have sent a letter to the Rasquera Council to demand a serious research.
